Survived the Weekend

Pictures from Hannah's Winter Festival last weekend. Jason was playing football so I took the kids to her school for dinner at 5 and stayed until about 8pm. They had school instrumental groups perform, games, crafts, face painting and Noah's favorite a HUGE Inflatable SLIDE!. He was nonstop, up and down. He didn't even care that he had to wait in line of about 25 kids each time to get a turn. He loved it. I am sure he will have fun at the summer party where there about 10 inflatables for kids his size. Watch out!

Hannah and Noah are waiting in line to ride the slide. The girls each paired up with a friend and I tackled Noah. The best part for me was watching the 6th grade Jazz Band, 3 of my students from last year made the band. We stopped on the way home to get Funnel Cakes, they were set up outside on the way to the parking lot, talk about them getting you to give money to support the school all the way outside. It was a fun night.

Now flash forward to this week....Noah woke up on Thursday from his nap with a fever and said his throat hurt, straight to the dr at 7om Thursday night. He had strep throat and hopefully has not passed it on to any of us. I think this is the first time EVER, we slept in on Saturday until about 9:30 when the phone rang. It must be a sign that our kids are getting older, they woke up and played and let us sleep, until they(Noah) was hungry of course. We did wake up Sunday morning with a couple of inches but by noon it was 48 degrees and the snow was melted.

We did get some snow which was happy news for the kids. Noah got busy shoveling the driveway and he and Chase cleared the whole thing before the girls got home from school.

Hoping for some snow tonight. We are in the 3-6 inch range but the local forecasters are not calling for even that much. Philadelphia and Baltimore are to get at least a foot. We are in the middle of the Somerset County snow and East Coast storms. No snow for us!!
