Highlights from the Harrisburg St Patrick's Day Parade. We parked on City Island at about 1pm Saturday afternoon and had a fun walk across the bridge. Sarah was so scared of falling in the water and the open grates that she clung to the stroller. Hannah and Noah loved it and chattered about everything they saw in the river. We found a spot to park ourselves and waited for the parade to begin. By the end of the parade everyone's pockets were full of candy, except Noah, he ate his before the parade was over. Hannah finished most of hers too.

There were probably 10 different dance groups most with these beautiful costumes. Some were cloggers, others step and Irish dance. They all also stopped and performed in front of us. We must have been in the right spot on the route. There were 6 or 7 bagpipes groups and 7 marching bands from area middle schools and high schools too. Jason and I had to laugh at the one band, there was a mom (the band director's wife) pushing a baby stroller with the band, it brought back fond memories of Jason following with Hannah as my band marched down the parade routes. It was also funny to see all the band parents lined up behind the kids as well. It all seems so long ago that we lived in Maryland when Hannah was little 10+ years ago! Wow!!

Noah's favorite was the fire trucks but he also liked the Zembo horses.

Hannah got a nice picture of Jason and I, it does kind of make us look like giants though!

Try as I may I couldn't get a picture of all of them looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. The parade started at 2pm and didn't end until about 4pm. The weather was nice not too cold and I had packed plenty of drinks and snacks. They ate all of the food and after the parade we went to Olive Garden and they devoured their food there too!

So happy you had fun, and even happier you made it to the Olive Garden :)
